Abstract


This Study was performed to analyze some factors affecting dental caries in deciduous teeth. 140 kindergarten children(80 boys and 60 girls) of age 3?5 who lived in Kimcheon City were selected for oral exam. and questionnaire for oral health care habits were asked to each parents.
ANOVA tests were applied for analysing the data in order to find the relationship between some factors and deciduous decays at each child.

The findings of this analysis can be summarized as follows:
1. There was some negative relation between the favorite of toothbrushing and numbers of tooth decay.(P < 0.01)
2. It was revealed that the pregnancy of beverage and snack food uptake had a little bit relation with tooth decay.(P<0.05)
3. There was a little relation between the amounts of water/milk uptakes and the numbers of tooth decay.(P<0.05)
4. There was no relation between such factors as the gender, frequency of toothbrushing, weaning time and the maternal education level and the numbers of deciduous tooth decay.(P > 0.05)
